On March 16, political law partners Kenneth Gross and Ki Hong held a webinar titled "Gift Compliance Overview." The webinar covered gift compliance basics, focusing on topics such as congressional and federal executive branch gift rules, including discussions on valuing tickets to sporting events as well as requirements around fact-finding trips and site visits. The webinar also focused on state and local laws, many of which include more restrictive gift limits for lobbyists and lobbyist employers. In addition, the speakers discussed commonly used gift exemptions and best practices for compliance.
