New York partner Lawrence Spiegel spoke at the 16th annual Legal Malpractice and Risk Management Conference March 1-3 in Chicago. Mr. Spiegel participated in a panel discussion titled “Indemnity and Contribution: The Law Giveth and the Law Taketh Away.” Topics included recent case law and trends regarding provisions in outside counsel agreements that indemnify clients for damages and contribution claims by attorneys against other counsel in legal malpractice actions, as well as practical advice on how best to navigate these emerging issues.
