Douglas R. Nemec

New York patent litigation partner Douglas Nemec and counsel Marti Johnson participated in PLI's 11th Annual Patent Law Institute held April 27-28 in San Francisco. As institute co-chair, Mr. Nemec delivered a program overview. He also moderated a panel discussion titled "The Patent Trial and Appeal Board Turns Five," which provided an overview of the evolution and status of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board five years after the America Invents Act became law, among other topics. Ms. Johnson moderated a panel discussion titled "Judicial Perspectives on Discovery in Patent Litigation," which focused on the impact of year-old amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, among other topics. The program also was held April 6-7 in New York.
