Washington, D.C. financial institutions regulation and enforcement partners Jamie Boucher and Eytan Fisch spoke at “Global Economic Sanctions,” a forum that was presented by C5 on May 17-18 in Amsterdam.
Ms. Boucher participated in a panel discussion titled “Devising and Implementing Sanctions Investigations Strategy: Practical Tools,” which focused on dealing with regulators, enforcement agencies and prosecutors, and when and what to self-report; what external stakeholders consider a well-run investigation; and determining the jurisdictional requirements of investigations, among other topics.
Mr. Fisch participated in a panel discussion titled “Update From Regulators and Preparing Your Organisation for What May Lie Ahead,” which focused on policy review and top priorities; critical changes in the legal framework for enforcing the financial sanctions regulations; Iran, Russia and Brexit; and what enforcement agencies look for when evaluating sanctions compliance programs.
