Enforcement Developments and Virtual Currency Regulation

Washington, D.C. derivatives of counsel Jonathan Marcus spoke to the New York State Bar Association’s Derivatives and Structured Products Committee on November 15 in New York. Mr. Marcus spoke on “Enforcement Developments and Virtual Currency Regulation,” covering the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s recent enforcement developments, including the Division of Enforcement’s guidance on self-reporting, changes to the CFTC’s whistleblower program, and the commission’s approach to virtual currencies.
