On January 29, Skadden presented “2018 Cybersecurity Outlook Webinar: What Boards and Corporate Leadership Need to Know,” as part of our annual SEC Reporting & Compliance and Corporate Governance Series. The webinar focused on topics such as understanding emerging threats and regulatory trends impacting corporate governance; the board’s role in overseeing an overall approach to cybersecurity and risk management; recognizing, responding to and remedying cyber incidents; and corporate management’s leadership and coordination before, during and after a cyber event.
Panelists included Leslie Ireland, a member of the board of directors of Citigroup, Inc. and former assistant secretary for intelligence and analysis of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and national intelligence manager for threat finance of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence; Sean Joyce, a principal, U.S. cybersecurity and privacy leader, and Financial Crimes Unit leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and former deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Skadden CFIUS and national security partner Michael Leiter; and Skadden intellectual property and technology co-head Stuart Levi.
