Boston litigation partner Michael Loucks spoke at American Conference Institute’s “5th Advanced Forum on False Claims and Qui Tam Enforcement” on January 29-30 in New York. Mr. Loucks spoke during a session titled “Focus on Healthcare and Life Sciences: Recent Trends and Cases That Are Affecting Future False Claims Suits,” which examined a range of topics, including effective use of Escobar in defense cases, False Claims Act use by competitors, the uptick in the focus on post-acute care, and new cases on electronic health records (HER) incentive payments, among other issues.
