Washington, D.C. government enforcement and white collar crime partner Gary DiBianco spoke at American Conference Institute’s 12th Advanced Forum on FCPA and Anti-Corruption for the Life Sciences Industry in New York June 18-19. Mr. DiBianco spoke on a panel titled “How Domestic Healthcare Fraud Investigations Expand to Involve Overseas Operations and FCPA Issues.” The panel presented a case study covering practical lessons from domestic fraud investigations that had evolved into multijurisdictional investigations; how cooperation between the Department of Justice Health Care Fraud Unit and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit affected compliance programs and defense of government investigations; and areas of current focus by U.S. regulators, including marketing practices, R&D, funding and sponsoring.
