SEC reporting and compliance head Brian Breheny and securities enforcement head Colleen Mahoney spoke at Practising Law Institute’s 50th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation in New York on November 7-9.
Mr. Breheny participated in a panel discussion titled “Proxy Season Never Ends: Executive Compensation and Shareholder Engagement,” which focused on CEO pay ratio disclosures, the impact of proxy advisers and the role of the board when seeking to exclude shareholder proposals, among other topics.
Ms. Mahoney moderated a panel discussion titled “Government Enforcement Priorities: No Change, Sea Change or Somewhere in the Middle?” The discussion focused on major cases and current enforcement priorities, charging and settlement decisions, data analytics in detection and investigation, and cybersecurity, among other topics.
