Financial institutions regulation and enforcement head Jamie Boucher spoke at C5’s Women in Compliance Conference as part of a panel titled “Special Considerations on Culture Differences When Structuring, Scoping and Staffing the Investigative Team” in London on March 27. Topics included how to engage different departments and ensure independence, the role of the compliance officer in an internal investigation, obstructions to the process every woman in compliance should prepare for, how to navigate through cultural differences to ensure that interviews are fairly conducted, how to deal with inconclusive findings and how to know when to conclude the investigation.
