Washington, D.C. health care and life sciences of counsel Karen Corallo spoke at the Food and Drug Law Journal 2019 Symposium, presented by the Food and Drug Law Institute on November 15. Ms. Corallo moderated a panel titled “Development and Regulation of Innovations: In the Current State of Facts vs. Public Opinions, the Truth Does Not Always Prevail.” Topics included the impact of “digital health” on public welfare, the history and basis for the Food and Drug Administration’s software precertification program, and new areas of innovation and oversight concerning medical devices.
