On February 2, Washington, D.C. national security partner Brian Egan participated in Thomson Reuters’ annual Government Contracts Year-in-Review Conference during a session titled “Export Controls, Economic Sanctions, Anti-Corruption and CFIUS: Compliance and National Security Concerns.” The panel explored U.S. export controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the implementation of national security reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and key U.S. economic sanctions developments and enforcement cases in 2021.
