FDLI Enforcement, Litigation and Compliance Conference 2022

Maya P. Florence

On December 7-8, Washington, D.C. litigation head Jennifer Bragg and Boston life sciences and health care partner Maya Florence participated in the Food and Drug Law Institute’s annual Enforcement, Litigation and Compliance Conference. Ms. Bragg spoke on the panel “DOJ, FDA and Compliance in Criminal Violations of the FDCA (Oh My!),” which examined the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) newly established group of attorneys who will monitor compliance with deferred prosecution and non-prosecution agreement commitments. Ms. Florence served as a panelist on the session “False Claims Act and Fraud-on-the-FDA Theory for Liability,” which addressed the theory of liability and the DOJ’s focus in this area, and how life sciences companies can mitigate enforcement risks.
