On July 19, Skadden hosted the webinar “Considerations Unique to Financial Institutions That Work With Political Organizations,” which analyzed the legal issues that arise when financial institutions provide services to political candidates’ campaigns and other political organizations, such as party committees and PACs. Skadden speakers included political law head Ki Hong, Washington, D.C. partner Charles Ricciardelli and white collar defense and investigations partner Alessio Evangelista. Topics included the different restrictions that apply depending on the type of account being maintained, considerations when providing loans or other extensions of credit and the importance of Know Your Customer diligence as it relates to political law.
