On November 30, Skadden hosted a webinar that explored considerations for insurers on emerging issues in cyber and privacy matters. Firm speakers included New York mass torts, insurance and consumer litigation partner Meredith Slawe; Chicago litigation partner Gretchen Wolf; and cybersecurity and data privacy counsel Joshua Silverstein. The panelists focused on the recent surge of mass arbitration and claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act and Video Privacy Act, and how to identify and proactively address emerging areas of risks for insureds, among other topics.
