On October 9, shareholder engagement and activism head Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman appeared as a speaker during the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s 45th Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute on Shareholder Activism. Ms. Gonzalez-Sussman’s session provided an overview of activism in the U.S., as well as recent trends in shareholder activism, including key activist themes, the pros/cons of board-level engagement and regulatory impacts, among other topics.
