Adoption of the EU Regulation on the Screening of Foreign Direct Investments Into the EU

Partner Pascal Bine reviews the recently adopted Regulation (EU) 2019/452, which establishes a new legal framework for the screening of foreign direct investments into the EU on the grounds of security or public order. The regulation's main purpose is to put in place a cooperation and information-sharing mechanism among EU Member States and the European Commission for the screening of foreign direct investments into the EU.
