Jessica Choi’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex civil litigation matters, including securities and shareholder litigation, business disputes, government enforcement proceedings, internal investigations and class actions.

Ms. Choi’s representations prior to and since joining Skadden include:

  • Zillow Group, Inc. and certain of its directors and officers in securities litigation and several stockholder derivative actions asserting claims under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Washington law
  • the demand review committee of a U.S.-based software company in response to a shareholder demand letter
  • Under Armour, Inc. and members of its board of directors in federal securities litigation and shareholder derivative litigation filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland
  • the special committee of Clover Health in connection with an investigation into allegations raised in a short-seller’s report
  • a financial technology company in connection with an FTC investigation

Ms. Choi also is committed to pro bono work and has represented, among others, an individual in state court who challenged a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for a crime committed as a juvenile, as well as a mother and daughter in immigration court who sought asylum after facing persecution in El Salvador.
