Bio

Branka Cimesa focuses her practice on internal and government investigations, as well as complex civil litigation. Ms. Cimesa has assisted clients in multifaceted regulatory investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other state and federal regulators. These matters have involved investigations concerning cybersecurity, corruption and financial fraud. Ms. Cimesa has represented clients in a variety of civil cases in all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate. She also has handled disputes related to federal antitrust laws, federal and state False Claims Act litigation, and complex contract and business tort claims.

Ms. Cimesa maintains an active pro bono practice and has advised on a wide range of matters in this capacity. These cases have included representing a criminal defendant through the Federal Defender Program; filing post-conviction petitions in federal and state courts; and assisting several clients seeking asylum before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
