Roy Cohen

Roy Cohen represents public companies and their boards in shareholder activism defense, shareholder engagement and corporate governance matters, including proxy contests, activist settlements, takeover defenses, rights plans, bylaw and charter provisions, activism preparedness, and board and committee presentations.

Prior to joining Skadden, Mr. Cohen practiced in the shareholder activism defense group of another international law firm. Earlier in his career, he was an attorney at the Israel Securities Authority and, before that, a judicial clerk at the Supreme Court of Israel. He is also currently a J.S.D. candidate at Columbia Law School, where his dissertation examines hedge fund activism and corporate innovation.
