Erin D. Esposito
Bio
Erin Esposito focuses on transactional and regulatory matters involving the insurance industry. Ms. Esposito represents clients in corporate transactional matters, including approvals and filings related to insurance company mergers and acquisitions and other change of control transactions, restructurings and affiliate transactions. She also counsels clients on the formation, licensing and redomestication of insurance companies; insurance company investments; and other regulatory compliance matters.
Her experience includes representing:
- Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. in its $1.1 billion pending acquisition by Brookfield Reinsurance Ltd.
- Kemper Corporation in its sale of its accident and health insurance business to Medical Mutual of Ohio for $90 million
- Aquarian Holdings in its acquisition of a controlling ownership interest in Somerset Reinsurance Ltd.
Prior to joining Skadden, Ms. Esposito was an associate in the insurance practice of another major law firm, where she advised insurers and private equity firms on a variety of transactional and regulatory matters, including working on the first insurance company division transaction completed in the U.S. under new state insurance laws.
