Blaine (Fin) Fogg, a corporate and securities lawyer concentrating on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions, is of counsel to Skadden.


Since joining Skadden in 1966, Mr. Fogg has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including negotiated mergers, acquisitions and leveraged buyouts; unsolicited tender offers; proxy contests; corporate restructurings and reorganizations; and public and private securities offerings. He has experience in corporate governance, having served on public company and not-for-profit boards. He has significant experience in cross-border transactions involving European companies and spent more than two years in Skadden’s Paris office.

Mr. Fogg repeatedly has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Corporate and M&A Law. He was named “Best Lawyers’ 2014 New York City Corporate Lawyer of the Year.” Mr. Fogg also is listed as a “senior statesman” in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2004-2005, which noted his “‘stature’ and ability to bring ‘high levels of skill and advice’ to bear on major problems.”

Mr. Fogg co-authored a major treatise on the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and has authored numerous articles and spoken at many forums on mergers and acquisitions.
