Bio
Lauren Garrett advises public and private companies, financial institutions and private equity sponsors on U.S. and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, dispositions, auctions, carve-outs, reorganizations, strategic investments and other corporate matters. Over the course of her career, she has practiced in New York, London and Sydney.
Ms. Garrett’s representative transactions prior to and since joining Skadden include:
- Computershare Limited in the $720 million carve-out sale of Computershare Mortgage Services Inc. and certain affiliated companies
- Rithm Capital Corp. in its $720 million acquisition of Sculptor Capital Management, Inc.
- Keurig Dr. Pepper Inc. in its minority investment in Tractor Beverage, Inc.
- Sierra Wireless, Inc. in its acquisition by Semtech Corporation at an enterprise value of $1.2 billion
- Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC in its increased £6.7 billion recommended cash offer by Fortress Investment Group, LLC and the subsequent £7 billion recommended cash offer by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLP
- Paul Ramsay:
- Health Care in its £999.6 million recommended all-cash offer for Spire Healthcare Group
- Holdings Pty Limited in its disposal of Adstream Holdings Pty Limited
- Goldman Sachs as financial advisor to KKR & Co. Inc. in its £2 billion acquisition of John Laing Group

- Quadrant PE and Next Capital in the sale of their interest in the Independent Pub Group
In recognition of her work, Ms. Garrett has been named one of Best Lawyers’ Ones To Watch in America. Ms. Garrett also provides legal services to pro bono clients, including individuals seeking asylum in the U.S. She is actively involved in Skadden’s recruiting, corporate training and summer associate programs.
