Bio

Paige Griffiths represents clients in the project financing, development and M&A of energy and infrastructure projects. Ms. Griffiths’ experience includes representing:

  • The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in connection with loan transactions under the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act program, including:
    • a $181 million loan to Silicon Valley Clean Water to finance its Regional Environmental Sewer Conveyance Upgrade Program;
    • a loan to the city of Tacoma, Washington, for the city’s Central Treatment Plant Electrical Distribution System Replacement project;
    • a loan to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to provide financing for the Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel and Sanitary Relief project, including the construction of a new pump station; and
    • a $436 million loan to the Indiana Finance Authority in connection with the accelerated funding of State Revolving Fund loans to municipalities in Indiana to finance 23 wastewater and drinking water projects;
  • The Build America Bureau of the U.S. Department of Transportation, acting through its Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act credit program, in connection with:
    • a loan to the San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority to finance a portion of the costs of a new transit vehicle maintenance and administration facility; and
    • a loan to the Monterey-Salinas Transit District for its new transit vehicle operations and maintenance facility;
  • Ørsted North America in its sale of a 25% stake in the 1,100-megawatt Ocean Wind project in New Jersey to Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG);
  • TerraForm Power in the amendment, extension and upsizing of its senior secured revolving credit facility, which increased the size of the revolver from $600 million to $800 million;
  • the founding principals of an energy storage company in connection with the formation of an energy transition fund;
  • Hydro-Quebec in its winning bid in the Massachusetts Clean Energy Request for Proposal, including negotiating three 20-year power purchase agreements for 100% hydro power to be transmitted over the New England Clean Energy Connect, a new transmission line to be developed by Central Maine Power Company, a subsidiary of Avangrid;
  • SunEdison, Inc. in:
    • the restructuring and sale of three projects in Honduras to Globaleq Mesoamerica; and
    • the sale of its lessee interests in a portfolio of sale-leaseback projects; and
  • Talen Energy Supply, LLC in connection with:
    • a $475 million project financing of a portfolio of gas and oil-fired power plants located in Pennsylvania with an aggregate capacity of 2.3 GW;
    • the $600 million prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring of its 2,532 MW Mach Gen portfolio; and
    • a new $500 million term loan B facility and the repricing of its existing $600 million term loan B facility.
