Jade H. Jenkins

Jade Jenkins has experience in a wide array of matters, ranging from antitrust and complex commercial litigation to investigations involving the Department of Justice and Department of Defense. She has represented clients in all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, pretrial motion practice, discovery, trial preparation and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Jenkins focuses her practice on product liability litigation, including multidistrict litigation proceedings, mass torts proceedings and class actions in federal and state courts.

Her representations have included, among others:

• a financial institution in federal antitrust class actions alleging that foreign currency dealers conspired to manipulate benchmark currency exchange rates
• a financial institution in a class action commercial contract dispute regarding electronic trading rights and related fees
• a health care provider in conducting internal investigations and responding to government inquires in a False Claims Act case
• a consumer financial company in responding to government inquires
• an electronic health record software vendor in a False Claims Act case

Ms. Jenkins maintains a robust pro bono practice. Her work in this capacity has included securing a favorable settlement in a civil rights case, representing survivors of sexual violence under the Illinois Gender Violence Act, investigating wrongful convictions and innocence claims, and assisting clients with eviction expungement and immigration matters.

Ms. Jenkins serves on the board of the pilotED Foundation, an educational nonprofit advancing equity, development and well-ness through innovative leadership and support for educators. She is also a member of Teach for America Chicago-Northwest Indiana’s Leadership Circle, which supports emerging civic leaders in education through mentorship and strategic engagement.

Prior to rejoining Skadden, she served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lindsay C. Jenkins of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
