Elizabeth (Liz) Kraus
Bio
Elizabeth (Liz) Kraus represents clients on antitrust matters related to mergers and acquisitions, investigations, litigation, compliance and other business issues. She has represented clients in a broad array of industries — including health care, insurance, technology, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and defense, oil and gas, private equity, software and retail — before the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state attorneys general.
With respect to transactional matters, Ms. Kraus has worked with clients of all sizes and on transactions with varying degrees of antitrust scrutiny. Significant representations include:
- Spotify Technology S.A. in its acquisition of Findaway World
- Willis Towers Watson plc in its proposed merger with Aon plc
- Centene Corporation in its merger with WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
With respect to government investigations, Ms. Kraus has represented numerous clients — including one of the world’s largest technology companies — in investigations related to unilateral conduct, price fixing, noncompete agreements and interlocking directorates, among other areas. She also has represented clients in complex litigation and business disputes in state and federal courts and arbitration, including Intuitive Surgical in litigations alleging monopolization of aftermarket service and repair of surgical robots and related instruments.
Ms. Kraus also provides pro bono assistance to clients in matters related to immigration, child support and criminal defense.
