Bio

Zachary Krooks advises a diverse range of clients, including institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, commercial banks and private equity funds, in connection with complex real estate transactions, including joint ventures, office leases, real property acquisitions and dispositions, and development transactions. In addition, Mr. Krooks regularly represents clients in financing transactions, including senior, mezzanine and construction loans, as well as loan restructurings and workouts, representing both borrowers and lenders.

Mr. Krooks’ representations include:

  • a foreign family office in connection with its acquisition and conversion of a New York City office building into a multifamily apartment building
  • an asset management company in the refinancing of a portfolio of 104 properties across the United States
  • a debt fund in connection with an assignment in lieu of foreclosure of a mezzanine construction loan for a mixed-use property development in Bellevue, Washington, comprised of luxury condominiums, high-end retail, parking and a luxury-branded hotel.

Additionally, Mr. Krooks has worked on a variety of pro bono engagements, including real estate leases for New York-based nonprofit organizations.
