
Zachary W. Martin
Bio
Mr. Martin has advised a wide variety of pharmaceutical, medical device, technology and consumer product companies in defending against product liability suits, consumer class actions and state and other complex litigation. He has worked to achieve victories at every stage of litigation, including on the pleadings, at summary judgment, at trial and on appeal.
In product liability cases, Mr. Martin has represented clients such as Johnson & Johnson in litigation alleging that Tylenol can increase the risk of autism and attention deficit disorder; numerous companies in litigation alleging that baby powder can increase the risk of ovarian cancer and mesothelioma; and Snapchat in litigation brought by state attorneys general. In putative class actions, he has represented a variety of companies, including Ford in a case alleging the company had misleadingly advertised Mustang automobiles.
Mr. Martin also maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented voting rights activists and an Afghan family who obtained asylum.
