Antitrust and Competition
Matthew Hendrickson, a partner in Skadden’s Antitrust and Competition Group, is resident in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Hendrickson represents parties involved in mergers and acquisitions in proceedings before the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He also handles antitrust litigation and provides counseling on U.S. competition laws and the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
Mr. Hendrickson has been part of the teams representing a number of clients with respect to major transactions, including SGL Carbon, Rhodia, Viacom, Madison Square Garden, JBS, Watson Pharmaceuticals, MDS, Express Scripts, Taro Pharmaceuticals, Southwest Airlines, Sprint Nextel Corporation, Mylan Inc., Nokia and Reichhold.
His litigation experience includes defending De Beers in connection with U.S. class action lawsuits relating to gem diamonds, defending De Beers in antitrust class action litigation brought in British Columbia, defending Shufflemaster against allegations of monopolization of casino table games and defending Solvay and Laboratoires Fournier in connection with multiple suits alleging monopolization of a pharmaceutical product.
