Jessica Pillai
Bio
Ms. Pillai’s practice spans the full life cycle of real estate investments, including the formation of joint ventures and investment platforms, acquisitions and dispositions, development, redevelopment, recapitalizations, mergers, financings and commercial leasings.
Ms. Pillai has significant experience negotiating and structuring programmatic and single-asset joint ventures, real estate secondaries transactions and complex development transactions, including data center campus developments and related management agreements. She regularly advises clients on the structuring, capitalization and execution of real estate investment strategies across all asset classes, with particular depth in digital infrastructure.
Ms. Pillai has represented numerous prominent real estate owners and investors, including private equity firms, institutional investors and other financial sponsors, on some of their most significant real estate transactions. Prior to joining Skadden, her clients included Crow Holdings, GID, Goldman Sachs, H.I.G. Realty Partners, Realterm, Starwood Capital Group and TPG Real Estate Partners, among others.
In recognition of her work, Ms. Pillai has been named to Lawdragon’s 500 X — The Next Generation list.
