Kimberly Shi
Bio
Kimberly Shi focuses on cross-border investment and national security matters, primarily involving reviews conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and related issues involving the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency, export controls and sanctions.
Ms. Shi has worked on issues relating to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and economic sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). She has also advised clients on matters involving CFIUS, foreign indirect investment and Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) under the National Industrial Security Policy Operating Manual (NISPOM).
Ms. Shi also counsels on national security diligence and contract negotiations related to acquisitions, integration and post-closing activities of complex transactions. In this capacity, she has advised clients across a variety of industries, including aerospace, real estate, private equity, defense, social media, manufacturing, mobile gaming, insurance, biotech and renewable energy.
