The M&A Advisor hosted its annual Turnaround Awards Gala on Feb. 25 in Palm Beach, Fla. Skadden’s representation last year of ION Media Networks in an out-of-court restructuring, which included a $1.3 billion recapitalization, won the “Refinancing Deal of the Year” and the “Media, Telecom + Technology Turnaround Deal of the Year.” In addition, Brandon Burgess won the award for “Turnaround Corporate Executive of the Year” for his role as CEO of ION.
