Cisco Cleared to Acquire Tandberg

Skadden represented Tandberg before the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and contributed to the work done at the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition in helping to secure approvals for the pending $3 billion acquisition of Tandberg by Cisco Systems. On March 29, nearly six months after the parties first announced their negotiated cash tender offer, the U.S. and E.U. agencies simultaneously announced an end to their respective investigations, clearing the way for Tandberg and Cisco to proceed to closing. Tandberg, based in Oslo and New York, is the world's largest provider of high quality videoconferencing solutions.
