Skadden took home six honors, including Law Firm of the Year, at the annual International Financial Law Review Americas Awards, held on March 25, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. In addition to the top award, the firm also was recognized as having both the Restructuring Team of Year and the Private Equity Team of Year. For specific matters, Skadden received the Restructuring Deal of Year Award for CIT Group, Private Equity Deal of the Year for BankUnited and M&A Deal of Year for Roche/Genentech. No other law firm received as many awards. The firm was nominated for 12 total awards, which also included Skadden's work on the Starwood Property Trust IPO, VisaNet IPO, Cemex restructuring and the Merck/Schering-Plough merger.
