Three partners recently were named to the Daily Journal’s Top 100, an annual list of California’s leading lawyers: Palo Alto litigation partner Allen Ruby, Palo Alto corporate partner Ken King and Los Angeles corporate partner Brian McCarthy. The publication noted Mr. King’s work on Advantest Corporation’s $1.1 billion acquisition of Verigy Ltd.; Mr. McCarthy’s role in Nationwide Health Properties, Inc.’s $7.4 billion acquisition by Ventas, Inc.; and Mr. Ruby’s representation of Major League Baseball star Barry Bonds in his current criminal prosecution.
