Skadden Receives Eight M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards

On Jan. 31, Skadden was honored with eight awards at the sixth annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards. The asset sale and restructuring of Centro Properties Group received awards for “Turnaround of the Year (Large Market),” “Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (Upper Middle Market)” and “Real Estate Deal of the Year ($500 Million and over).” Additional awards included “Cross-Border Deal of the Year (Upper Middle Market)” and “Financial Services Deal of the Year” for the reprivatization of the Bank of Ireland, “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Upper Middle Market)” for the sale and recapitalization of AmericanWest Bank and “Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Lower Middle Market)” for the bankruptcy of Fairview Ministries, Inc. Corporate restructuring partner Jack Butler also was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
