Skadden earned a victory for Aspen Technology, Inc. in a trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement case in connection with claims filed by the company against competitor M3 Technology, Inc. Following a three-week trial in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, on May 18, a jury found in favor of AspenTech on all of its claims, and awarded the company actual and punitive damages.
