Ninth Circuit Declines to Reconsider Appeal of Southwest-AirTran Merger Dismissal

On March 27, Skadden secured the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit's decision not to reconsider the dismissal of an antitrust lawsuit challenging firm client Southwest Airlines' $1.4 billion acquisition of AirTran Airways. On Feb. 4, the Ninth Circuit affirmed the dismissal with prejudice of the suit.
