Fifth Circuit Upholds Jury Verdict for Aspen Technology

Skadden secured a victory at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in a tortious interference, trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement case filed by client Aspen Technology, Inc. against competitor M3 Technology, Inc. On May 29, the Fifth Circuit affirmed in all substantive respects the verdict finding in favor of the company, upholding the district court's permanent injunction and awarding Aspen Technology actual and punitive damages (also obtained by Skadden).
