Los Angeles partners Brian McCarthy (corporate) and Tom Nolan (litigation) and Palo Alto partners Kenton King (corporate) and Joseph Yaffe (executive compensation and benefits) were named among the Daily Journal’s “Top 100 Lawyers in California,” an annual list of the state's leading lawyers. Among other matters, the publication noted Mr. McCarthy's and Mr. Yaffe's representation of the principal shareholders of Beats Electronics and Beats Music in the $3 billion sale of the two companies to Apple Inc. Mr. Nolan was recognized for his work as lead trial counsel in an embezzlement case on behalf of First California Bank and Mr. King was recognized for representing Nokia Corp. in the $7.1 billion sale of its devices and services business to Microsoft Corp.
