Skadden was awarded "Loan Deal of the Year" at the annual International Financial Law Review European Awards, on April 16. The award recognized the firm's role advising Joh. A. Benckiser GmbH as controlling shareholder of D.E. Master Blenders 1753 N.V. in its $11 billion leveraged financing in connection with the combination of the coffee businesses of D.E. Master Blenders and Mondelez International, Inc. This was Europe's largest post-credit crisis leveraged loan transaction.
