Skadden, on behalf of OneTrust LLC CEO and founder Kabir Barday, secured a pivotal defeat of a motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) in a corporate control fight with the company’s chairman and controller. The TRO sought to prevent Mr. Barday from, among other things, hiring and firing OneTrust employees and officers. Following the defeat of the TRO, Skadden negotiated a global resolution of the dispute that required the board chairman and his allies to resign from the board and named Mr. Barday as the new board chair.
