Ron Berenblat’s decision to join Skadden as of counsel in the firm’s shareholder engagement and activism defense practice has been featured in The Deal.
The article highlighted Mr. Berenblat’s nearly 25 years of experience advising hedge funds and other large investors in activist campaigns, as well as his transition to working alongside Elizabeth Gonzalez-Sussman, the head of Skadden’s shareholder engagement and activism defense practice, to advise companies targeted by activist investors.
Reflecting on his new role, Mr. Berenblat said, “I was intrigued by the unique defense practice Skadden was building and knew that I could leverage my prior experience to formulate processes and procedures for companies to best prepare for and engage with activists.”
