Skadden Adds Drew Barber as M&A Partner in Boston

Skadden is pleased to welcome Drew Barber back to the firm as a partner in the M&A practice in its Boston office. Most recently, Mr. Barber served as senior vice president and general counsel of a multinational aerospace and defense company, where he oversaw strategic acquisitions, and managed a team of approximately 1,000 professionals. He was responsible for negotiating major commercial transactions and litigation settlements with key customers and suppliers and advising executive leaders on critical business and legal risks.

With a focus on advising clients across industries on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as corporate governance and other corporate and securities law matters, Mr. Barber has extensive experience handling complex public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs and strategic partnerships. He has counseled clients across a broad range of industries, including aerospace and defense, manufacturing, technology, financial services and real estate.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Barber was an associate at Skadden, advising clients on M&A, capital markets, corporate governance and general corporate and securities matters. He earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Trinity College.
