International Legal Consultants (ILCs) work closely with our associates, counsel and partners in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai on corporate and litigation matters. Most ILCs have graduated from law school in their home country and completed an LL.M. program in the United States. They spend two years in our program, and those who are successful are promoted to associate. ILCs are required to undertake internal training in professional skills, including but not limited to communication, English legal writing and financial statements training. ILCs also attend legal skills training throughout their time with the firm and are assigned a mentor and reviewed every six months.
