Washington, D.C. tax of counsel William Alexander will co-chair PLI's three-part series titled Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations and Restructurings 2021 on October 20-22 in New York, November 10-12 in Chicago and December 1-3 in Los Angeles.

In New York, Mr. Alexander will provide opening remarks and participate in the “Current Issues in M&A” and “Consolidated Return Planning and Strategies” panels. Washington, D.C. tax partners Jessica Hough and Eric Sensenbrenner and retired Chicago tax partner Louis Freeman will discuss taxable transaction planning, restructuring multinational groups and strategies in representing sellers, respectively.

In Chicago, Mr. Alexander will provide opening remarks and participate in the “Current Issues in M&A” panel and an open discussion on corporate transactions. Washington, D.C. tax partner Hal Hicks, Chicago tax partner Sarah Beth Rizzo and retired Chicago tax partner Louis Freeman will speak on cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, passthrough corporations and strategies in representing sellers, respectively.

In Los Angeles, Mr. Alexander will provide opening remarks and participate in the “Current Issues in Divisive Strategies — Spin Offs” and “Corporate Transactions Open Discussion” panels. Palo Alto tax partner Nathan Giesselman, New York tax partner David Rievman and retired Chicago tax partner Louis Freeman will also speak on restructuring multinational groups, interesting corporate transactions of the past year and strategies in representing sellers, respectively.
