Washington, D.C. tax of counsel William Alexander co-chaired PLI's three-part series titled Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations and Restructurings 2021 on October 20-22 in New York, November 10-12 in Chicago and December 1-3 in Los Angeles.

In New York, Mr. Alexander provided opening remarks and participated in the “Current Issues in M&A” and “Consolidated Return Planning and Strategies” panels. Washington, D.C. tax partners Jessica Hough and Eric Sensenbrenner and retired Chicago tax partner Louis Freeman discussed taxable transaction planning, restructuring multinational groups and strategies in representing sellers, respectively.

In Chicago, Mr. Alexander provided opening remarks and participated in the “Current Issues in M&A” panel and an open discussion on corporate transactions. Washington, D.C. tax partner Hal Hicks, Chicago tax partner Sarah Beth Rizzo and retired Chicago tax partner Louis Freeman spoke on cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, passthrough corporations and strategies in representing sellers, respectively.
