New York tax partner Stu Finkelstein spoke at a PLI program titled "Mergers & Acquisitions 2013: Trends and Developments," held January 17-18 in New York and webcast live. Mr. Finkelstein's session, "Basic Federal Income Tax Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions," included a discussion of taxable acquisitions and tax-free reorganizations, acquisitions and dispositions of stock and assets, the tax consequences of using different forms of consideration in an acquisition and NOL rights plans.
