Skadden's Third Annual Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device Seminar

Skadden's Palo Alto office held "Enforcement and Litigation Strategies: Skadden's Third Annual Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device Seminar" on February 7. The four-panel, half-day seminar was attended by approximately 50 firm clients and contacts. The seminar began with a talk on DOJ, OIG and FDA enforcement by Washington, D.C. partners John Bentivoglio and Jennifer Bragg. Boston partner Michael Loucks and Washington, D.C. partner Gregory Luce then presented "When Negotiations Fail: Litigating FCA Cases," which was followed by a panel discussion on industry litigation trends, including advice on litigation management, presented by Palo Alto partners Timothy Miller, Allen Ruby and Raoul Kennedy. The seminar concluded with a panel discussion with in-house counsel from Hansen Medical and Gilead Sciences moderated by Palo Alto partner Kenton King.
