Washington, D.C. corporate partner Brian Breheny and government enforcement partner Colleen Mahoney participated in PLI’s 45th Annual Securities Regulation Institute, held in New York and also via webcast. Key industry players addressed the current state of securities, financial regulation and corporate law and practice, and share their unique insights and experiences to offer practical strategies and solutions in the form of best practice. As in prior years, Ms. Mahoney co-chaired the program. On November 7, Mr. Breheny moderated a panel titled “Tackling Disclosure and Compensation Requirements.” The panel addressed Division of Corporation Finance disclosure priorities; disclosure for a "say-on-pay world"; Dodd-Frank Act compensation disclosure requirements; conflict minerals and resource extraction payments disclosures; lessons learned on Iran sanctions disclosure; and proxy statement litigation and other key annual report and proxy season issues.
