Antitrust Law and Policies From Brussels to Washington, DC: Bridging the Atlantic Divide

Skadden hosted its annual competition event titled "Antitrust Law and Policies From Brussels to Washington, DC: Bridging the Atlantic Divide" at its Brussels office on October 17. Monique van Oers, director of the legal department of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, delivered the opening remarks. Panel discussions and Q&A sessions followed on vertical restraints, merger control and private damages. Brussels partners Ingrid Vandenborre, Simon Baxter, Frederic Depoortere and James Venit were joined on the panels by New York partners Paul Eckles and Matthew Hendrickson, as well as speakers from DG COMP, the European Court of Justice, and the Competition & Markets Authority.
